Mary Opal Ball, age 100 was born January 13, 1909 in Louisa, KY and died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was loved by all who knew her. Preceded in death by daughter, Norma Sharon Crum and husband, Milton Ball. Survived by son, Charles Milton Ball; 5 grandchildren, George Robinson, Debra Robinson (Skip), Rebecca Armbruster (Darin), Tamra Henry (John) and Jacqueline Ball (Steve); 9 great-grandchildren, Greg, Diana & Spencer Robinson, Samantha & Alexandra Armbruster, Ashley & Lexie Henry, Briana & Brandi Estell; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Sydney, Lilly & Mackenzie Robinson; best friend, Thumper and many friends. Opal had a beautiful, full life and enjoyed volunteering and gardening. She volunteered for the Governors conference on Aging and was an active member of the Martin Janis Senior Center and a member of the Clintonville Breakfast Club. Funeral Service 12:00 Noon, Thursday, June 4, 2009 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME, 2383 North High Street, Columbus where friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
