Obituary:
Betty Mae La Rosa, age 82, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center. Betty was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late John and Mae Jarden. She was also preceded in death by her sister Marion Masowick. Betty was a member of First Alliance Church. She loved the Lord and did her best to live for Him. Her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joe La Rosa; brother Dick Jarden (Chris); daughters: Joan La Rosa (Roger Meredith), Janet Austin (Marshall), Mary Pritt (Tom), Betty McDowell (Craig), Dr. Judy Thompson (Jamie); sons: Dr. Joseph La Rosa (Marianne); Alan La Rosa; 12 grandchildren: Andrew and Christopher La Rosa; Craig and Christine Austin; Jeremy (Andrea) and Matthew Pritt; Melissa La Rosa, Sophia Lau (Aaron), Kyle and Tyler McDowell; Lenora and Gabriel Thompson; one great-grandson, Michael Lau; sister-in-law, Marie Rossi (Pat); several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. The La Rosa family would like to thank HomeReach Hospice and Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to: the Arthritis Foundation, HomeReach Hospice, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Heartbeat International or First Alliance Church in Betty’s memory. Funeral Services will be held 11:00a.m. SATURDAY, February 13, 2010 at FIRST ALLIANCE CHURCH, 3750 West Henderson Road, Columbus, OH 43220 (at the corner of Henderson Rd. and Sawmill Rd.) with Pastor Doug Peterson, officiating.
