Betty Jean (Baker) Phillips, age 86, of Glouster, OH, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Genesis Nursing Home in McConnelsville, OH. Betty Jean was born June 2, 1922 in Hilliard, OH to the late Raymond S. and Florence (Britton) Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Phillips; son, Roger Lee Heskett; brothers, Winston, Carroll, Gary and Arthur Baker; sisters, Phyllis Ann Thompson and Sharon Lee Asman; She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Joyce Baker; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Dale Baker; sister, Delores Hay; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Nelsonville, OH. A funeral service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at RUTHERFORD-SHROYER FUNERAL HOME, 1278 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43222 with Pastor Ernest Heskett officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
